josh childress stress fractureAtlanta Hawks guard Josh Childress has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right foot, and will miss the remainder of the season, according to Hawks head athletic trainer Wally Blase. A full recovery is expected in four-to-six weeks.

Childress played in 55 games this season (13 starting assignments), averaging 13.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.1 spg and 0.7 bpg in 36.8 mpg (t33rd in the NBA), hitting .504 FGs, .338 3FGs and .795 FTs. The third-year player is the team leader in FG%, is 2nd in bpg and mpg, 3rd in ppg and rpg, t3rd in spg and 5th in FT%.

He scored in double-figures 39 times, including six 20-point efforts, and recorded seven double-doubles. In his 13 starts, Childress put up 13.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.3 apg and 1.2 spg (.454 FG%, .774 FT%).
