- Eddie Jordan is native of Washington DC

- Eddie Jordan was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the 1977 NBA Draft (33rd overall), later acquired by New Jersey midway through his rookie year

- As a Net he led the league in total steals in 1978-79 and was second in total steals in 1979-80.

- Joined the Los Angeles Lakers during the 1980-81 season where he played four seasons

- Was a member of the 1982 Lakers NBA World Championship squad

- In his seven-year NBA career, Jordan averaged 8.1 points, 3.8 assists and 1.82 steals per game.

- Eddie Jordan graduated from Rutgers in 1977 with a degree in health and physical education.

- In junior campaign at Rutgers, Jordan led the Scarlet Knights to the 1976 NCAA Final Four, where he was named East Regional MVP

- In his senior year Eddie Jordan was named honorable mention All-America and set Rutgers all-time career records in assists (585) and steals (220)

- Eddie Jordan is a 1973 graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington DC
