Just to clarify , Murray would be all nba if he didn’t have health issues,
His post season run where Nuggets won the chip was definitely All NBA caliber of play.

These posts stress a great point.
Curry has a lack of defense (even though it gets overstated, he wasn’t a negative on defense in his prime). However at the point guard position it’s the position where it’s the easiest to hide a defender.
Out of all the positions point guard has the least defensive responsibility, and the most offensive.

Who gives a **** about 8-10 SRS? Like you and a few people in the world. It's a nothing burger in the grand scheme of things.
Jokic has never had a team/talent level that warranted 65+ wins. Read what I'm going to say twice just to make sure it sinks in all the holes in your brain.
Jokic has NEVER played with an all NBA teammate, an all...

It's not. People count his 5 rings like he won them all as the best player on the team. I only really see the FMVP argument used against Kobe and Steph to discredit what they did in the runs that they weren't FMVP. I'm not talking about Kobe vs MJ here. You're not a sidekick just because you didn't win FMVP. Was Steph a sidekick in 2015? Of course...

How is it choking when Denver lost to the top seed without Murray?

Your statement is completely untrue about Duncan. In fact, no one thinks about him at all, which is clearly worse than whatever perspective fans have on Kobe.
But yes, when discussing the GOAT standard, you in fact do need the FMVP to go along with your rings. It's why MJ stands at the top still and why Lebron stands in second place all time.

Not while getting swept during an elimination game in the second round as the MVP. Lmao.
Jokic the leagues MVP literally was swept out of the playoffs so bad that he flagrant fouled little ass Cameron Payne because he was so frustrated. Lol.

what’s crazy is you went on a half decade crusade against kobe for hero balling and how hero ball is stupid and it’s only a fraction of the game that gets falsely extrapolated to meaning everything
then you flipped 180 when you want to disparage curry, now curry isn’t good because he isn’t hero balling
keep it consistent
and I...

Yes, because a Finals MVP discredits the previous 3 rounds in '01 and him being the best 4th quarter/clutch player in the Playoffs that year.. People don't do this shit with Duncan, they give him full credit for '07 and '14 and he wasn't FMVP then.

Curry threw his mouthguard onto a fan. That's just selective memory.
Overall Curry had more impact on the landscape of the NBA. Jokic is such a unicorn that his skillset can't be imitated. The whole NBA tries to play like the mid 10 Warriors played.

Hate that the media tries to do this every time a young player has a great stretch of basketball. Putting GOAT standards on Ant because he had a hot few weeks in the POs is stupid af. They build you up just to tear you down. In Bron's case it was different because he called himself "the Chosen One" and has talked about chasing Jordan but it was...

My greatest concern is with roster construction on a high-level team. I think some of you need to take a step back and reassess this question from a team-building perspective. Jokic's defensive limitations as a paint/rim protector are a much greater concern than any of Curry's weaknesses or comparative shortcomings.
Optimal personnel and scheme...

Yes. Sometimes your shot doesn't fall and you have to find other ways to help your team. In addition to his defense, he led Chicago in assists, kept the defense in foul trouble (12 FTA next closest was 3), and still led the team in scoring despite his inefficient night. Not to mention the offensive juggernaut he is in the first place opens up...

Barkley says they’re worried as hell over there.
Could Turner executives really been as clueless as ish posters thinking ratings determined value And nobody would beat their offer?
We’ve been talking about streamers getting in the game for two or three years. They don’t give a **** if ratings are down. They pay for the NBA just for...

Here's NY starting line-up on Dec. 1st
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/gametracker/recap/NBA_20231201_NY@TOR/
As mentioned last night... Brunson is the only guy starting now, who was a starter at the beginning of the season.
Hart, Divo and Hartenstein were still coming off the bench in that Toronto game above.

Jokic was swept out of the playoffs the first year he won MVP. Dude got so frustrated he straight up threw a cheap shot and ejected his own ass out of an elimination game. Lmao. Curry has never choked that hard.
This Jokic dude gets so much hype it’s ridiculous.

Curry is literally better than everybody on that list except MJ, Wilt, Kobe, and Bill Russell.
I actually undermined myself with my initial statement. Curry is top 5 all time. But Yolk is GOAT level.
We're splitting hairs here though and I'm sure we're mostly in agreement.

Didn't Marcus Smart win the season Curry finally won Finals MVP?
Crazy thing is, most great defenders don't lock down offensively talented players.
Pistons had Rodman and Dumars and they still had to create a scheme to slow him down.
