You have an argument with 2015 for sure but Steph faced better opponents in '22 than Jokic did in '23.

Again, anyone that watched that series knew that the Knicks were mailing in Game 3 - they knew they couldn't go up 3-0 in Chicago Stadium.. So the game was over after the 1st quarter, where MJ had 8 points and 6 assists, compared to 6 and 0 for Pippen.. So Jordan dominated when the game was contested and the rest was garbage time - they were up...

maybe its deserved because last few runs have been brutal for celtics but this run has been too easy. I barely been watching their games ik each series is going 5 max. the Knicks who can barely field a starting lineup or pacers with injured haliburton arent giving me hope either

Jokic center-size allows him to come closer to physically willfully dominating a game from the paint, much more so, that Doncic current playstyle, which IMHO relies far too much on less efficient perimeter play, when he can and should exploit smalls much more frequently, given how insanely high Luka’s paint FG% is the last two years. Kidd needs...

im conflicted. Jokic is more consistent in playoffs for sure. I dont think many have peaked like curry on offense in 16 and his help in this discussion gets overrated. His teams certainly had talent but that was defensive talent with dray, iggy, bogut, klay etc. On offense they had 1.5 creators in curry and draymond who can pass but not a...

Steph is a truly great all time great. Changed the game forever. But … he can’t simply choose to take over a game in the same way that Jokic can. Neither can truly PHYSICALLY dominate ANY game, but Kokic sure can do something similar to physical willfull dominance far more frequently, against far more matchups than Steph can even attempt to...

Then explain game 2. Payton was not his primary defender and he shot a meager 40%.

Without mitchell, this series has become unwatchable imo. But i do hope the Cs will be more dominant in the coming rounds than their 60-win season would suggest.

You realise that Jordan's pedestrian 50% in game 5 could have easily been an even worse 45% had he missed 1 more shot. It went in, so he got an unremarkable 50%. How about the two abysmal games? If Payton didn't bother him, why didn't he shoot 60% on all games? Oh wait, if he flukes one shot to make it to 50%, it's skill. If he throws brick...

Youd think people with an OBVIOUS BIAS IN THEIR NAME could just concede “hey, im obviously not objective, but im takin curry, or tatum, or whoever.” It’s not a big deal. These men are strangers. You dont get a prize for convincing others theyre the bestest. The petty insistence that theyre being totally neutral about prefering their guy is just...

Without a doubt he'd have cemented himself if he was also phenomenal in making 3s. But it's never the case. Ok. But what do you think about game 3 of the 1993 east finals where he went 3/18 and got bailed out by scottie pippen that night?

I’m all for allowing physical play on loose balls, on rebounding, and other hustle plays. But definitely not on skill plays, like shooting or ball handling. Obviously, eliminating the Harden bullsh!t, sweep throughs (should be embarrassing no call turnovers like it used to be), unnatural angles and unnatural motions, and flops is much needed...

You kind of did by saying that it's a small sample as to why Jordan had off games ignoring that defense maybe contributed to it. And MY point was that a great player, particularly one of Jordan's caliber, can score 30+ on 50% on an average night against a defense that is average. Maybe even more against a below average one. What happened in...

In my lifetime, I have seen several NBA post-seasons where I had ZERO doubt, that at the very least, the league was orchestrating matchup specific, directives for how they want certain actions/matchups/playstyles officiated a certain way, to influence the outcome of a series in favor of the more popular team, or the larger market organization. ...

Great offense beats great defense. Jordan was a SG and the consistency he had as a scorer is just impossible to replicate. Playmaking can be volatile because to get an assist you need your teammate to make the shot, defense you can do everything right but a great player will still make their shots if they're hot. There's no one more consistent...

MJ hit the league like a tsunami, so when someone comes along that is better than MJ - everyone will know. And I'll be ecstatic because that player will be more spectacular and amazing than Jordan was.. They will blow our minds.. Ant isn't that - he's just another decent little player like Rose or Steve Francis that gets hot for a few games...

I actually think its crazy the Nuggets are this good with that roster. I look at OKC, Boston, Minny, Clippers, Bucks, etc and they are all significantly more talented IMO. Jokic is a great floor raiser, and able to do a lot with very little. GSW were an insanely talented team. I don't think that of this Denver team.

I’ve not stated or implied that at all. However you basically made the point I’ve repeatedly made - “ a great player can sometimes hit tough shots anyway but he has to be on to do it.” Jordan simply was on in game 5, and not in games 4 and 5. Just like he was on in games 1 and 3, and not in game 2.
