I would never return to the Aus Open again if I was Medvedev.

    Unreal stuff.

So happy for Jannik. Well deserved. The next big thing is here.

I dont like Medvedev but I feel bad for him. He didnt do much wrong here.

Only player in the Open Era to do this in a major final twice.

    Yikes.

    Spoken like a true casual.

Medvedev should be credited for even going up 2-0 sets. He entered a 3/1 underdog. He never buckled and left his heart out there.

Can only be felt for today and I do not like him.

But focusing on this only makes sense if the player choked and he obviously did not.

Rafa vs Z first round at RG. Could this be the end for Rafa? He didn't say it is but you never know with his health.

    First set to Z

Down 2 sets now. He's a fighter but I've seen him whimper away too when he didn't have his physical abilities. I don't see him coming back even if he is up a break in every set, as he doesn't have his health anymore

He did go down fighting. Sasha was too good, and too tough a 1st round opponent.

Will miss him when he's completely gone, but he should be back for the Olympics.

Nole survived a battle last night. Musetti is a good clay courter so hopefully it bodes well. Still the draw promises to be quite tough this year.

Great tournament (although Medvedev losing to de Minaur is muppet stuff) but the Semifinal is an absolute disgrace.

I dont care that Sinner and Alcaraz could have met in the Semifinal, if youre the organizer, you rig that and make them meet in the Final / potential Final.

These 2 at this point should never be possible to meet before a Final ever again.

    Feels like a total robbery.

Alcaraz should have been in the Djokovic half, playing the SF against Ruud after Djokovics withdrawal.

Sinner should be playing / taking care of Zverev in the SF.

And then wed have the dream Final.

    This is just anticlimatic though.

Alcaraz and Sinner have no business meeting in the Semifinal.

Feel sad for Novak. Feels like his career is over.

Will still try to enjoy the youngsters play. Tennis is in good hands.

Like I said - it was ridiculous talking as if he was going to get 28-32 titles like some were saying.

I predicted 25... but it will take a perfect run at one of the tournaments to get it. That is the reality at this age.

I mean Novak still did leave a lot on the table with off-court drama. 2020 WB not held, suspended at 2020 USO, missed 2022 AO and 2022 USO due to vaccine mandates. If he played all those tournaments, we could be talking about Novak with 26-27 slams right now with no changes in anything tennis related.

As crazy as it is to say, 24 slams might actually be a disappointing total for Novak.
