North Carolina leading scorer and rebounder Armando Bacot left Tuesday night's 65-58 loss at No. 13 Virginia just over a minute into the game after injuring his left ankle. Bacot rolled his ankle 1:18 into the contest and did not return. He was replaced by Jalen Washington, a freshman, who played 27 minutes in Bacot's absence and matched his season total for field goals with five, as North Carolina went on a 21-5 run in the first half and led by seven points early in the second. - ESPN.com

The roars from Washington State's locker room echoed through a hallway underneath the stands at McKale Center. An understandable celebration after the Cougars had just sent Arizona's fans to the exits early with their first road win over a top-5 opponent in 122 years of basketball. Playing confidently in one of college basketball's toughest road arenas, Washington State ended No. 5 Arizona's 28-game home winning streak with a 74-61 victory on Saturday. - ESPN.com

Gabe Kalscheur hit a 3-pointer with 1.3 seconds remaining and finished with 15 points as No. 25 Iowa State beat No. 17 TCU 69-67 on Saturday. Kalscheur's winner from way beyond the arc came just after TCU had just claimed the lead for the first time since early in the first half. "It felt really good coming out of my hands," Kalscheur said. - AP via ESPN.com

A suburban Chicago college postponed two men's basketball games after a rigorous workout sent five players to a hospital. Concordia University Chicago in River Forest also temporarily removed coach Steve Kollar, the Chicago Tribune reported. - AP via ESPN.com
