Warriors recall patrick o'bryant from d-league>The <a href=Golden State Warriors have recalled rookie center Patrick O’Bryant from the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin announced today.

O’Bryant, 20, has appeared in 17 games overall this season in two stints with the Jam, averaging 11.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.94 blocks in 29.7 minutes per contest. Over the last 10 games, O’Bryant is averaging 14.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.50 blocks and 1.6 assists in 34.2 minutes per contest, while shooting 53.2% (59-111 FG) from the field. He has recorded five double-doubles and pulled down 10-or-more rebounds six times, including each of the last five contests.

The 7’0’’ center was originally assigned to the NBA Development League on December 30 before being recalled on January 17 for the Warriors game in Los Angeles against the Clippers that evening. He was re-assigned to the Jam on January 19 and has appeared in 11 games during his most recent stint with the club.

Overall with Golden State this season, O’Bryant has appeared in 13 games, averaging 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.7 minutes per contest.

O’Bryant is the first Warriors player to be assigned to the D-League since the current affiliation system began during the 2005-06 season. Under the system, NBA teams can assign up to two players who are rookies or in their second season to their D-League affiliate. Players can stay with the D-League team for as long as the team wishes, and be recalled back to the NBA at any time. However, a player can only be sent to the D-League a maximum of three times during the season.
