76ers exercise 3rd year option on Rodney Carney

 Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that the team has exercised the third-year option on the contract of forward Rodney Carney.
Over his rookie campaign in 2006-07, Carney averaged 6.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 17.4 minutes. In seven pre-season games this season, the Memphis product averaged 9.7 points and 3.4 rebounds in 24.0 minutes.
